Universal care, a Beaconsfield care firm, has been awarded a new office in the model village of Bekonscot. The Universal Care office was unveiled in early June 2011 and is in recognitions of 25 years since the company was established.
Mr Peter Cullimore (a former photographer), who founded the company together with his late wife Gillian (a former nurse), said the new office is an admirable model that will go a long way to create a permanent record in Bekonscot. He attributed their success to the committed staff, many of whom have stayed with the company for more than ten years.
Peter and his late wife started Universal Care back in 1986 from two empty rooms at Chester House in Windsor End, with the aim of providing care to people right from their own homes, whether they were sick, eldery¸pysically or mentally disabled.
Commenting on the future of the company during the opening of the new offices, Peter said they are certainly determined to continue operations for a considerable time into the coming years.
