Macmillan Cancer Support, a leading charity that helps people with cancer, is calling on everyone in Buckinghamshire to enjoy coffee and cake and help it raise a record £8.5m in the process.
The charity is seeking 43 more people to participate in this year’s annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event which is scheduled for the end of September. The organisers are determined to make this year’s Coffee Morning the largest since the event was started 21 years ago. Sandra Dibling, the charity’s fundraising manager said this is a wonderful event that all people in Buckinghamshire should consider getting involved in.
Macmillan is expecting hundreds of people to take part in the event come 30th September and are hoping to raise £120,000. Those in Buckinghamshire wishing to support Macmillan in advance have been encouraged to do so by visiting their nearest M&S Café where they can also buy Macmillan Little Book of Treats at £3.
Registration to host a coffee morning or to find a local one in Buckinghamshire can be done at www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee or 0845 602 1246. |
