There is every reason to look forward to good times in 2012 at least according to Martin Tett, the Bucks County leader.
Bucks will play host county for the main London 2012 Olympic Games right at Dorney Lake in South Bucks; while the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee will also be taking place in Bucks. An excited Tett said Bucks residents will have several platforms to get involved including cheering in the Olympic Games, celebrating the cultural diversities of participating countries, as well as organising and enjoying street parties during the golden jubilee.
The Bucks County leader said he has talked with the county officers and asked them to work closely with their district colleagues to make sure Bucks residents find it easy to take part in all the events.
The cabinet member for community engagement, Martin Philips, said he is committed to ensuring that 2012 becomes a memorable year for the residents and all visitors coming to Bucks for the various events. |
